Zayo Expands to Richmond, VA with New Network Build
LOUISVILLE, Colo.– May
10, 2012 – Zayo Group announces today that it
will be expanding its fiber network into Richmond, VA. The build of 60 miles
will mark Zayo’s initial Dark Fiber presence in Richmond. The project is slated
for completion in the third quarter of 2012.
Once complete, the 60-mile build will consist of a metro ring through
the southeast portion of the Richmond Central Business District (CBD) and a
larger ring with connectivity up to Henrico and Laurel. Alongside the new fiber build, Zayo
will now have diverse access into a large data center campus in Richmond.
“This build will be Zayo’s 3rd new market of the year and
will provide connectivity into a key data center in the Richmond area,” states

Zayo Extends Fiber Network Into Louisville, KY
LOUISVILLE, Colo.– May 2, 2012 – Zayo Group announces it will expand its fiber network throughout southern Indiana and into metro Louisville, Kentucky. The build is Zayo’s entrance into the Louisville market adding 60 new route miles and six buildings on-net. With these additional route miles, Zayo’s fiber network in the region totals more than 700 miles.
“The initial build into the Louisville market will provide the underlying infrastructure for wireless services,” states Steve Williams, General Manager of Zayo’s Central Region, “but the core ring through Louisville and out to Jeffersontown will allow for metro connectivity within the city as well as access to Evansville, Indianapolis and Chicago.”

Zayo Group Completes Acquisition of Arialink
“Arialink’s extensive network in Michigan will complement Zayo’s national footprint,” states Dan Caruso, President and CEO of Zayo Group. “This acquisition will expand the reach of our network services to new markets in Michigan that will be valuable to Zayo’s current customers as well as enable national services for customers in Michigan.”
The Michigan network will provide Ethernet, dark fiber and optical transport services across a 437 on-net building footprint in Michigan. The acquisition also provides Zayo with a regional long haul network and connectivity to smaller markets in central Michigan.

Zayo Completes Nashville Tennessee Fiber Build
LOUISVILLE, Colo. – April 03, 2012 – Zayo announces today that it has completed construction of its fiber network expansion in Nashville, TN. Through this build, Zayo has nearly doubled the fiber route mileage in the greater Nashville area to 104 miles. These additional miles will allow Zayo to serve the markets of Franklin, Brentwood and Oak Hill with dark fiber, Ethernet and wavelength services.
Zayo has a substantial and growing presence in Tennessee. In addition to the Nashville network project, Zayo offers it metro and longhaul services in Johhnson City and Kingsport and has recently completed expansions in Memphis including extending its fiber-to-the-tower (FTT) network into Northern Mississippi. Zayo also operates carrier-neutral colocation facilities in Nashville and Memphis to securely house customer equipment and provide access to a broad range of carri er networks.

Cynergy Selects Zayo as a Service Provider to Support Client Connectivity Needs
LOUISVILLE, Colo.– March 30, 2012 – Zayo announces today its channel partnership with Cynergy, a telecom management firm. With this relationship Cynergy will offer its clients Zayo’s services to sites throughout its Atlanta network. Cynergy recently sourced a 1 Gig Ethernet and 10 Gig ring for Micfo, an international web hosting company, based on Zayo’s connectivity from 56 Marietta in Atlanta to its data center facility in Atlanta.
