Zayo Marks 10,000 On-Net Building Milestone

LOUISVILLE, Colo. – November 27, 2012 – Zayo Group announces its fiber optic network now extends to more than 10,000 buildings, a milestone reached after six years of organic growth and acquisitions. These locations span 45 states and Washington, D.C. in the United States and seven countries around the world. The network is the foundation for Zayo’s Bandwidth Infrastructure business which has grown to $918M in annualized revenue and $490M in annualized Adjusted EBITDA1. 
 
Customer-driven network expansion has played an important role in the growth of Zayo’s network. This has included Fiber-to-the-Tower (FTT) deployments, dedicated financial services customer networks, regional education networks and connectivity to most of the country’s key data centers and interconnection points with other carriers. Since its inception, Zayo has invested $446M in property, plant and equipment to extend its network and services for its customers.

LOUISVILLE, Colo. – October 11, 2012 – Zayo Group announces that it is accepting customer orders on its low latency service between Seattle and Chicago and between Seattle and New York/Northern New Jersey. The improved performance on the route will give Financial, Content and Carrier customers a material latency reduction from what is currently available.
 
Zayo will be offering connectivity from Seattle’s 2001 W. 6th (Westin Building) to major data centers, carrier hotels and financial exchanges in New York and Northern New Jersey. Zayo believes that its routes will offer the lowest latency currently available between Seattle and Chicago as well as between Seattle and New York.
 
Zayo is upgrading its wavelength system along this route to support the new low latency solution. The system being deployed is a native 100G per wavelength with capability to support a total of 8 terabytes.
