LTE/EPC and Converged Mobile Backhaul

Organised in partnership with Everything Everywhere – Host Operator – (the UK’s largest service provider) and NGMN Alliance – Co-Host – Layer123’s LTE Mobile core and backhaul event has been designed to reflect the evolution of a major service provider’s network towards the commercial launch of LTE.
This year is the launch year for LTE in the UK, and the agenda will address many of the commercial challenges of running an LTE network to make a profitable business. From achieving service density in a cost-efficient manner – through Small Cells – to generating revenue from LTE in the context of OTT services and VoIP, and effectively handling high traffic growth.

Welcome to Carrier Ethernet Americas 2012

The Carrier Ethernet market is growing solidly and will continue to do so until 2015. The increasing demand in bandwidth requirements and the need for scalable and low latency solutions is driving this growth. The market is expected to exceed its current value of $20 billion to an astonishing $40.2 billion by 2015. Consequently, Carrier Ethernet technology has emerged as one of the hottest solutions for the telecommunications industry and is the global communications platform of choice for consolidating services onto a common infrastructure. It enables tailored services for consumers, enterprises, and operators alike.

Carrier Ethernet is increasingly going beyond the metro, with services offering a national and global reach. This, coupled with increasing competition, presents Service Providers with an array of new challenges. Moreover, deployment strategies differ from market to market with mature and emerging markets having differing needs and requiring different solutions. After the success of the first two editions of Carrier Ethernet Americas, the 2012 event will host both operator and solution provider presentations delivering unique insight into the issues faced across the region and beyond from the emerging and developing markets alike. The event will pull together the entire Carrier Ethernet ecosystem under one roof and provide timely case studies, technology updates and unprecedented networking opportunities.

Over 150 people joined us in Rio in 2011 and Carrier Ethernet Americas 2012 looks set to be our biggest event yet. We hope you can join us for the most valuable conference and exhibition for the Ethernet services and networks industries in LATAM.

Carrier Ethernet Americas will be simultaneously translated into Spanish, Portuguese and English.

Three-Day Event Focused on Business and Technology of Network Security, Reliability and Sustainability

Arlington, Va. – When global Internet outages create communications and economic chaos … when a company's bottom line plummets because of a competitor's superior operational and energy efficiency … when providers of Cloud services lose money during prolonged downtime caused by their data center host … and when understaffed IT organizations are overwhelmed by system complexity: These are the real-life scenarios challenging the people Inside the Network.

Facilitating business and technical conversations in a global marketplace about how to plan for the best on the Network – while avoiding the worst – is the mission of TIA 2011: Inside the Network. The event is being launched May 18-20, 2011 at the Gaylord Texan (adjacent to the Dallas-Ft. Worth airport) by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the trade association representing the architects and builders of the Network and the information and communications technology (ICT) industry.

The Network – a multifaceted, elaborate blend of broadband technologies and components, wireless and fixed architectures, applications, protocols, standards and regulations – enables the multitude of services we all take for granted, such as smart phones, videoconferencing and business being conducted via "the Cloud."
