LOUISVILLE, Colo.– January 26, 2012 – Zayo Group announces it will add dark fiber to ExteNet Systems Inc.’s open network for a Distributed Network solution. ExteNet designs, builds, owns and operates outdoor and indoor wireless networks for wireless service providers, government agencies, and transportation corridors throughout North America. Zayo will provide a metro dark fiber network in and around Indianapolis.

ExteNet plans on leveraging Zayo’s fiber assets to meet its wireless carrier customers’ increasing bandwidth demand. The extended dark fiber access prepares ExteNet and its clients for future network growth.  This expansion will also support bandwidth demands anticipated in Indianapolis for upcoming sporting events.

“ExteNet’s open distributed networks provide wireless coverage to multiple wireless carriers and enables us to accommodate technology changes and growth.” says Ross Manire, CEO of ExteNet.

“Zayo’s concentrated metro fiber network within Indiana offers capacity and diversity for service providers like ExteNet,” states Steve Williams, Vice President and General Manager of Zayo’s Central Region.
