PARIS, Apr 25, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Orange Business Services is the leading global provider of Ethernet Services for the third consecutive year, according to Vertical Systems Group's Full-Year 2011 Global Provider Leaderboard. The development of very high-speed broadband networks is one of the driving forces of France Telecom-Orange's corporate project, Conquests 2015. Very high-speed network development is an important factor that will stimulate economic growth and competition in the future. To achieve this ambition, Orange continues investing in Ethernet Services with a goal of providing 100Mb-10G/s Ethernet access worldwide for strategic customer sites, enabling customers to expand their networks, especially in emerging markets.
Orange Business Services offers International Ethernet Link in 40 countries and Ethernet access to IP-based VPN in 72 countries, up from 62 countries last year.

New York,
NY, USA – April 24, 2012 – TELEHOUSE America, the leading
provider of dedicated
data centers, international Internet exchanges, and managed
IT services, announces its New York and Los
Angeles data centers are now SSAE 16
Type 1 compliant, having successfully completed the rigorous
independent assessments required of the SSAE 16 standard.
TELEHOUSE
America’s three New York facilities, TELEHOUSE
New York Chelsea, 25
Broadway, and the Teleport, as well
as its Los
Angeles Center, located at 626 Wilshire Boulevard, have voluntarily
completed a stringent audit of its internal business processes and IT controls,
including physical security, environmental security, logical security, and
network security.
“For many
of our customers, an SSAE 16 compliant facility is a requirement when selecting
a data center,” says Fred Cannone, Director of Sales and Marketing at TELEHOUSE
America. “Choosing to independently undergo this rigorous inspection further confirms
TELEHOUSE’s commitment to providing our customer with the best service possible.”
Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16
is an internationally recognized third party assurance
audit designed for service organizations. Unlike SAS 70, SSAE-16 is an “attest”
standard, falling under the attestation framework, rather than the “auditing”
framework of the SAS 70 standard. Service auditors first must obtain
management’s written assertion and then express an opinion on the fair
presentation of each facility’s system and the suitability of its design for
the period covered by the report.

UK-Based ISP Doubles Business Internet Speeds and Reduces Support Costs
MUNICH, GERMANY, Apr 17, 2012 -- Actelis(R), The Broadband Acceleration Company(TM), today announced at Light Reading's Ethernet Expo Europe (Stand #10) that Pulsant (formerly Lumison) has selected to deploy the company's Carrier Ethernet broadband solution. The move enables the UK-based ISP to offer its customers significantly faster broadband services without the need to invest in new fiber build-outs. Actelis' solution provides Pulsant and its customers with a fiber-like experience over the existing copper network. Pulsant's migration to an Ethernet-based broadband solution, which can deliver the increased bandwidth that its SME (small to medium-sized enterprise) customers are demanding, is a cost-effective way to retain existing customers and win new business. Alternatives such as fiber are too expensive and other legacy services are too slow and unreliable.
"Installing Actelis' EFM (Ethernet in the first mile) products allowed Pulsant to reverse the attrition that we started to see on the legacy service," said Richard Morrell, technical director at Pulsant. "Rather than discounting the slower legacy services and competing on price, we were able to grow our business by delivering greater value to our customers by doubling the bandwidth and increasing service reliability."
