To qualify as an MEF-CECP, candidates must pass a 105 minute multiple choice examination covering the fundamentals of Carrier Ethernet, including: MEF technical specifications, access technologies, MEF certification, target applications, circuit emulation over Ethernet, SOAM and comparison with other network services. This exam can be taken online at home or the office, or in an MEF approved test facility. Individuals may choose, before taking the exam, to complete an MEF-approved training course provided by MEF Accredited Training Partners (MEF-ATP).
Two MEF Accredited Training Providers: Telefocal Asia (http://www.telefocal.com/) and EANTC (http://www.eantc.de/) have been formally accredited by the MEF with at least three more MEF-ATPs due to be announced in the coming months.
