The European Advanced Networking Test Center in collaboration with ancotel and Light Reading is pleased to introduce the third phase in a campaign to validate Carrier Ethernet Global Interconnect.
We specifically showcase end-to-end services
across multiple carriers using the External Network-Network Interface (ENNI) standard as specified by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF). The interoperability program is supported by the MEF.
The third phase testing will take place in August and September. Results will be published at Light Reading Ethernet Expo (New York City, November 2010) covering the following areas:
- Checking liveliness of a service, using advanced Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) solutions
- Monitoring the end-to-end performance of a wholesale Carrier Ethernet service, identifying bottlenecks
- Creating class of service mappings and adhering to proper bandwidth profiles per class
Dates:
- Registration Deadline: August 15, 2010
- Prequalification: August 1-27, 2010
- Hotstaging: September 20-30, 2010
Goals:
- Validate interconnection of production grade service provider deployments for Carrier Ethernet services
- Verify Bandwidth Profiles across Carrier Ethernet exchanges Test End-To-End Ethernet Service
- OAM (Fault Management and optionally Performance Monitoring)
